Now I’m stressed a little bit…..

We now have the camper cleaned including all the windows inside (Al can do the outside!) all the cupboards and cabinets inside and out, and the ceiling of the fly junk from last summer. Tonight we are going to start putting things in where they go. It’s strange trying to figure out everything we will need for a month away from home. I have just been putting things into a Rubbermaid tub in the kitchen every time I think of something that we need. Now is the test to see if it all fits!

Then to top it all off, this is what my laptop screen looks like today:

screen capture 2

See that white box on the side? It’s evidentially a short in the hinge and it covers EVERYTHING on the right 1/3 of my screen. I have the extended warranty from Best Buy, but they have to send it out somewhere to fix it, and it won’t be done for 2 weeks. We are leaving in 10 days. :( The whole reason I can go for a month away from home is because I have (had) a laptop with everything on it! We will see what happens. Matt says that I can hookup a monitor to the laptop or I may have to take my old desktop which is going to be a pain in the you know what…..

And then yesterday I got in the Tahoe to go to work and hookup my iPod to the player like I always do, and it won’t work. :( I really think we have mice in it AGAIN and they probably chewed something they shouldn’t have like last year.

And then today I see that the temperature in Texas right now is 75 degrees! And it’s 39 and cloudy and icky here and going to snow again tonight.

I am soooooo ready to go!

Texas here we come!

It's official, we are on our way to Texas February 28 for a month. Al is so excited he is ready to go tomorrow! I'm getting there. It will be nice to be able to be in the warm sun, and spend time with mom. I'm taking all of my work stuff: computer, printer, scanner, paper, etc, etc, etc, and will be able to work from the table in the camper, or out on the picnic table or in the truck or wherever. It really is a gift to be able to do this, and I'm so grateful for the changes in work, even though I really didn't want it in the first place. Who wouldn't love to work in this setting? And to tell the truth, I will probably be a bit bored at times so it will be nice to have that to do.

Of course, this is where Al and I and the dogs will be living FOR A MONTH! We will probably be so tired of the cramped space we will want to scream, but I guess that's just more motivation to get a different (read: bigger!) camper. At least we did figure out how to put a king bed in there, so that will be nice.

And this is the street that we will drive/walk everyday:

And this is what Al will be doing everyday:

And again the next day:

Hopefully he will catch this:

Instead of this:

And this will be where we spend a lot of time. If you look closely mom, Doug and Al are there.

This is where we watch the dolphins play:

And where I TRY to capture the pelicuns flying.
This one actually isn't bad, but I WILL have better ones this year.

And this is the sunrise when I take my walk on the beach with mom every morning.
Ok, now I'm really ready!
