We have lived in our park for 17 years this September. The only time you would see deer then was in the winter, hardly ever in the summer.
A few years later we started seeing deer all year, but you very seldom saw the fawns. The last few years we have too many deer in the park, and now you see fawns everywhere. I took these the other evening sitting on our deck.
They really are cute. You can just sit on the deck with your favorite beverage and they barely notice that you are here. Until Tai starts barking that is. And half the time they just look up and then get back to what they were doing, not even bothered.
But then again, they think they own the place anyway. I had to move all my gardens inside the fence, otherwise they just eat everything in site. But even the fence doesn't stop them. They jumped right over and ate the tops out of all my tomato plants earlier this year. We are going to have to make a higher fence, I guess!
